Davy Jones of The Monkees dies today

I'm speechless after having found out that my first childhood crush, Davy Jones, passed away this morning. Three friends left me posts on my FB wall regarding Davy's death and at first I thought it was an Internet hoax or joke, which Davy's bandmate, Micky Dolenz also thought when he first heard the news this morning. I then Googled Davy's name and sure enough I was in disbelief. :-(

The Monkees made my childhood very memorable with their great music and offbeat humor. I'm so grateful I got the opportunity to see them perform live, with the last time being in July 2011 in which I actually got to meet Davy, Micky and Peter, and took photos with all three band members.
